William F. Grieco has built a three-decade career at the intersection of law, corporate governance and healthcare, bringing seasoned legal counsel to boards and executive teams across the life sciences and technology sectors. Since joining the board of Acadia Healthcare in November 2011, Grieco has been a key contributor to the companys governance and strategic oversight as it expands behavioral health services nationwide.
Grieco serves as Managing Director of Arcadia Strategies, LLC, a legal and business consulting firm he established in 2008 to advise healthcare, science and technology companies on regulatory, compliance and business matters. His advisory work complements extensive in-house experience: from 2003 to 2008 he was Senior Vice President and General Counsel at American Science and Engineering, Inc., and from 2001 to 2002 he held the same role at IDX Systems Corporation. Earlier, between 1995 and 1999, Grieco served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Fresenius Medical Care North America, a leading dialysis services and products company.
Before moving into senior corporate legal roles, Grieco was a partner at Choate, Hall & Stewart, where he developed the foundational legal experience that would shape his corporate governance approach. He also has served on multiple boards, including a long tenure with PHC, Inc., where he was a director from February 1997 until November 2011, and a board position at Echo Therapeutics Inc. beginning in February 2011.
In addition to board work, Grieco holds executive compliance responsibilities. He is vice president and chief compliance officer at NX Development Corporation, a U.S. life sciences affiliate of SBI Holdings, where he oversees regulatory and compliance programs. That combination of board-level oversight and hands-on compliance leadership informs his perspective on risk management and ethical business practices.
A graduate of Boston College, Grieco applies legal training and strategic insight to help organizations navigate complex regulatory environments while pursuing growth. Observers say his blend of private practice, in-house counsel experience and consulting work positions him to balance legal prudence with commercial priorities.
As Acadia Healthcare continues to evolve in a regulated and fast-changing field, William F. Griecos experience in governance, compliance and health-sector law remains a central asset to the companys efforts to deliver stable, compliant behavioral health care.
